Call of Duty: Ghosts Stats Boosting Hack – Players Desperate for a Solution
No wonder the Call of Duty fans are pissed, the game was hacked into even before it got released into the markets let alone the hackers who are rampant over it now. Reports have been coming in every now and then about people getting their stats boosted with or without their intent.
We stumbled upon yet another report on the same from a NeoGAF user who was worried after seeing his level being jumped to 40 and boosted stats. He was concerned about the anti-cheat system of Steam that could render him banned.
Such a server based hacking could get you rounded up too.
Activision’s support page on the matter is a pretty much no-action policy on their own part, it reads:
The Steam anti-cheat system would be the one banning you whether whatever is the reason that got your stats boosted unnaturally.
Now obviously ranking up way faster than usual is what everyone wants, but core gamers wouldn’t want that without going through the learning process. To top that up, hackers who have started to affect the stats of others will end up making you identified as a cheater and hence, banned.
I would personally expect Activision to play a better role in this matter – there’s nothing that can’t be sorted out if enough time is given.
You might want to visit Activision’s support site for details on what exactly is against the online code of conduct for Call of Duty: Ghosts.

“If your stats are boosted by a hacker there is nothing we can do. Activision will not reset your stats. Please note that knowingly entering a hacked server may be grounds for a ban. To avoid this, make sure you do not accept game invites from people you do not know or trust.”
