Company of Heroes 2 has two new free maps, more DLC available

Company of Heroes 2 has ben updated and, as seems to be Relic’s habit, the patch includes some new content as well as all the usual fixes and balancing malarkey.

The core addition is two new multiplayer maps – Hill 331 and Don River. These are now available for your use at no cost. Hooray! The update also added Steam Workshop integration for maps created with the World Builder, which is nice.

Of course, there’s also a bunch of new content out there for those with cash to burn; the Southern Fronts DLC goes for $6.49 and is described thusly:

“During the Spring Rasputitsa in early 1943, the Red Army launched a series of counteroffensives against German lines in the southwest. While initially successful, the Germans regrouped and managed to regain the momentum to recapture Kharkov. Take command of both factions in a series of 10 challenges and battles that feature new environmental conditions; thick mud that impacts vehicle movement and exposes new vulnerabilities.”
