Battlefield 4 patched on PS4, Premium double XP event delayed

DICE has released a new title update for the PlayStation 4 version of Battlefield 4 designed to improve stability and reduce the number of crashes.

The developer also claims that the update will "reduce the probability" of game saves becoming corrupted, which can lead to a loss of progress in the single-player campaign.

Full patch notes:
Fixed common crashes that could occur when changing weapons or maps
Reduced the probability of a corrupted save file in the single player campaign
Fixed a crash occurring when resuming the single player campaign
Fixed a bug where accessing PlayStation Plus subscription resulted in a connection error
Improved performance when shooting at destroyed Levolution objects

In addition, DICE announced that it had delayed this weekend's Premium Double XP to the weekend of December 7 in order to avoid next week's 'Player Appreciation' Double XP event.

The Premium Double XP event, which is an exclusive bonus for Premium subscribers, would have previously overlapped with the Player Appreciation Double XP week offered up as compensation for Battlefield 4's launch issues.

All users, including non-Premium subscribers, will have access to the Double XP week.

Battlefield 4 launches on PS4 in the UK this Friday, November 29.
