Battlefield 4 will not feature pre-match squad creation any

DICE have put the kybosh on an oft-requested feature of the newly released Battlefield 4: you will not, probably ever, be able to create and join your squads prior to joining a match.

Despite the feature being present in Battlefield 3, DICE say it just wasn’t working out.

“We have a new feature in Battlefield where a new squad is created when a friend joins your game. You can toggle this option on or off by going into the options menu,” said DICE on Facebook.

“We’re not offering the old squad join feature because we didn’t feel that the feature in Battlefield 3 was on par with the quality that we wanted to offer our players. We have no plans to add it in the future.”
