Amazon has released the figures for 2013 holiday shopping season sales. The holiday season 2013 was the best ever for the retailer with sales of over 36.8 million items. Amazon also announced its best-selling video games for the holiday season.

The holiday sale season is almost over and now the retailers have started rolling out their sale stats. The well-known online retailer Amazon has already announced its 2013 holiday shopping season sales figure. Claiming the company had record-setting 2013 holiday shopping season, Amazon stated in a press release post the company sold more than 36.8 million items worldwide on Cyber Monday, which is 426 items sold per second.

Amazon’s best-selling video games in 2013 holiday shopping season was Call Of Duty: Ghosts for Xbox 360, the game was discounted in the retailer’s Cyber Monday sale. The second and third best-selling video games during the holiday season were Just Dance 2014 for Nintendo Wii and Grand Theft Auto 5 for Xbox 360 respectively.

Amazon did not provide the specific sales figures for three best-selling video games during holiday season 2013 but the retailer said that it sold more than 1,000 PlayStation 4 and Xbox One consoles per minute and that the consoles have been in and out of stock since launching in November.
