Sniper Elite: Nazi Zombie Army Could be in Development for Consoles
A series of tweets made by Rebellion suggests that their team-based shooter Sniper Elite: Nazi Zombie Army may be in development for consoles.
Conversing with VideoGamer today, Rebellion CEO Jason Kingsley revealed that they are “looking at” a console version of the game but that at the moment “nothing is confirmed or announced”.
The comments follow an earlier Nazi Zombie Army conversation where Kingsley told a console gamer that he “might have something to interest you… later in the year”.
Rebellion has always targeted the PC platform with their Sniper Elite series. Nazi Zombie Army and the second episode were both released last year; whereas Sniper Elite V2 was released in 2012. Sniper Elite 3 is due to release on Xbox One, Xbox 360, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3 and PC later this year.
If the studio is merely thinking of a console port of their well-received Nazi Zombie Army title, then the announcement could happen later in the year for a 2015 release date.
Sniper Elite: Nazi Zombie Army features an intense co-op campaign for 1 to 4 players, where they must go through an infested Berlin and survive the wrath of the undead super soldiers unleashed by Hitler in the final days of World War II.
