Battlefield 4: China Rising Brings Forth New Problems on PC, Xbox 360
China Rising DLC for Battlefield 4 went live yesterday for premium Battlelog members alongside a patch that promised to fix various issues plaguing players right now. Unfortunately for the community, the release of the DLC has caused new problems on the PC and Xbox 360.
“While exploring new battlegrounds in the Battlefield 4 expansion, China Rising, you may run into an occasional hiccup, issue, glitch, or problem that could interrupt or prohibit your gameplay,” reads a post on EA Support.
On the PC, users are reporting being unable to join any server. Attempting to join a server leads to them being kicked immediately upon entering the server. Additionally Xbox 360 users have also reported on being unable to join China Rising servers after installing the DLC.
The issue on the console is still under investigation but EA states that they have found the problem on the PC version. “This fix will take some time to be fully completed, but players should be noticing normal gameplay behavior soon,” wrote EA.
It doesn’t matter how big a publisher you are. If the developer tells you that the game is incomplete, then you better give him the necessary time to release a polished title. EA, on the other hand, has seemingly time and time again released unfinished titles, coaxing the poor community into beta testing the title upon launch and then fixing it for the next year.
It was the same with Battlefield 3 and most, including me, were dumb enough to believe that it wouldn’t happen a second time. Battlefield 4 was launched in November and straight away brought issues much like it did with the third installment. It’s highly unlikely that the game will be ironed out within the next six months.
