For hardcore Call of Duty players, it's the most wonderful time of the year. No, nothing to do with gift giving holidays, but the time when the very best teams from around the world meet for battle in the annual Call of Duty Championships presented by Xbox, details of which were announced this week.
Announced on the Call of Duty website, teams from all over the globe will be vying to take the title from last year's winners Fariko Impact, who walked away with a whopping $400,000 in prize money to go with their title. There's going to be regional heats around the world including the initial heats taking place in the UK as early as next weekend. Trailer!
Live regional finals across several continents will take place by the beginning of March, whittling down the competitors to 32 teams for the live final in Los Angeles, California over the weekend of 28-30th of March. If you fancy you and your team amongst the best of the best (and are over 18), you'll be wanting to check here for all the sign up information, including those all-important rules.
